1.It is difficult,if not impossible,for most people to think otherwise than in the fashion of their own period.要让绝大多数人用不同与他们所处时期的潮流去思考问题,即使并非不可能,也是很难的.
otherwise =in another way .比,超过都不对...还有要用than就要有比较级,也没有.
2.the language is more structured than would be heared in informal conversation （FROM ,UNIT8 PART4 SECTION2)
大概的意思可以理解,但是其中than后面怎么可以有would?要么就是than in informal conversation ,前面插了一个would be heared 不伦不类,句子结构也不完整,请问应该如何解释?
