" Abstract：Coal Chemical Industry, also known as CCI, is the process during which coal as raw material, is transformed into gas, liquid, solid fuels and chemicals through chemical processing. producing various kinds of chemical products, including the gasification, liquefaction and distillation of coal as well as coal tar processing and acetylene chemical industry and so on. This paper begins with the fundamental concept and the course of development of CCI, focusing on the analysis of its development status, prospects and significance, the difference between traditional and new-model of CCI, as well as the characteristics of its development; it also briefly introduces several key technoloy and producing process of CCI; simply presents the resources of pollution of CCI as well as the method of dealing with them, and also proposes some advice about the issue of environmental pollution."
