Nowadays there are more and more electives in each universities. The main reason is to meet different students' needs. So we can have a good chance to choose what we want to learn. Take me for example, I like literature and history so I chose to learn ancient literature, which has interested me since I entered my university. During this course I learned a lot about ancient literature background and social reality at that time . Also I realize that the rich literature works and their origins have built up a bridge for us to understand our ancient culture and history. So I think choosing electives is very important for us.
