庐山是一座地垒式断块山,外险内秀.主峰——大汉阳峰,海拔1473.4米.庐山地处中国亚热带东部季风区域,面江临湖,山高谷深,具有鲜明的山地气候特征.年平均降水1917毫米,年平均雾日191天,年平均相对湿度78%,每年7月——9月平均温度16.9摄氏度,夏季最高温度32摄氏度.良好的气候和优美的自然环境,使庐山成为世界著名的避暑胜地.
“不识庐山真面目,只缘身在此山中.”然而,要领略庐山之美,还须亲临其境.庐山著名的景点主要有牯岭镇、花径、三叠泉、秀峰、五老峰、含鄱口等.
