in 1988,Helen Thayer,who was born in Zelan,decided to walk to the North Pole alone,thought she was already 50 years old.
old and weak she might be,she was still confident in herself and had the strong belief that she can achieve her goal.as a result,she succeeded in finishing this challanging even and reached the North Pole in 1997.it make her become the first woman who did such crazy thing.
so,as we can see,she is a woman with will of iron and can stick to conquer various kinds of difficulties.she had set an good example of everyone of us.
