The publish settings for an authorware file are identified by a unique publishing ID.The settings are stored in the registry under that key.Copying a file or using save as still maintains a link to those settings,so they are not lost if you rename a file.However,changes to the publish settings will affect all of the files that share taht same publishing ID.
If you wish to unlink the publishing settings of one file from another,use the file>publish>unlink publish settings menu item.
