其实我觉得你应该先理解句子的意思,而不是执着于语法我邀请了50位客人,但实际来了预想的（50）的两倍的客人.

如果选a.意思是：我邀请了50位客人,但实际来了预想的（50）的一半的客人.A省略的是but actually the number i had invited was tiwce more than came.
B是but actually was tiwce as many as the number i had invited
