roared down the arcade这里 down the arcade表示沿着商场,相当于状语,修饰roar,roar down确实不是一个搭配.
came to a stop就相当于stop,作者是表达停下来的意思,但英语跟汉语不同,汉语用动词比较多,而英语在较为正式的文体中,用名词比较多.
