　　In some developed countries,the consumption of cigarattes has more or less stabilized.In many developing nations,hower,cigaratte smoking is essn as a sign of economic progress.As far as China is concerned in recent years.One can often see young people smoking in public places and even in high schools.It is clear the present situation should be given serious attention.
　　As is known to all,smoking pollutes the air,and it is harmful to the health of people.Now,it is generally believed that smoking may be responsible for lung cancer and many other diseases.In addition,smoking is a waste of money.Everybody would be much better off if the larger sum of money spent on cigaratte could be saved and invested in development of education.
　　In my opinion,would goverment should conduct series movement againist smoking.first,cigarattes advertisements must be restricted.Second,health warnings should be put on cigaratte packages.Third,smoking in public places,such as theatres,cinemas,liberaries must be completely banned.The last but not the least important thing is that great efforts should be made to inform young people especilly of the dreadful consequences of taking to the habit.
