This is a copy of the so-called "Wedding Edition" of Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf",published in 1943 by the Central Publishers of the NSDAP,Franz Eher Verlag in Munich.The publisher's page bears a note that 9,290,000 copies of various editions of this work had been sold before 1943.There is a page preceding the free title page on which appears (in German):"To the Young Couple,with the best wishes for a happy and blessed marriage,from the Registry Office,(date blank) Registry Official:(blank)".Obviously "Mein Kampf" had replaced the Bible in NS Germany!This edition features a frontispiece portrait of Hitler with a facsimile signature,a list of names and places,and the two volumes ("Eine Abrechnung" and "Die Nationalsozialistishe Bewegung"),all in German.Condition of the book is Very Good Minus,showing stains and wear on the paper-covered boards.The leather spine has suffered some damage and is starting to crack at the head and foot of the spine gutters (see scan).Otherwise the binding is strong and tight,and the book is unmarked.Please see my other military history listings.
