Currently, the status quo clearly presents a tendency that some children simply ignore the greetings towards the elders during the festivals intentionally or subconsciously. This kind of phenomenon, indeed, shows a very lack of manner and respect to others, which obviously should be corrected. To trace the cause of this disrespectful action, we need to look at where, in our eduation system, has problems. Since children are not born with the idea of respecting others, it is parents' and teachers' responsibility to lead children to realize this social manner. However, now, because parents and teachers do not fulfill their roles of educating, kids do not know to greet the elders. Too intense concentration on scores soon leads to the overlook of other aspects that are as essential as the academic parts. Thus, to change the trend, the most effective measure is to alter the root of the problem---grades-based education system.
