英语课口语课上讨论用的,字数最好是200-300字这样.讨论的题目是Is it all right to carry out such researches as intelligence and race/nationality?What effects will this bring out?

First of all, I don’t agree with researches on intelligence and race/nationality. Well, we all know that research is served for science. There is no scientific reason for us to do a research like that in order to judge which race/nationality is smarter than others.
Secondly, as we all know, there are 64 billion people in 224 countries and more than 2000 races living on this planet, in each country and race there are people who are brilliant as Einstein or as normal as you and me. How could you do a research based on such a large number? Even if you did get a result, how could you make everyone accept that was correct? And if it wasn’t, the research would be meaningless.
Thirdly, what is the standard of intelligence? A Down syndrome child may sing the most beautiful songs that normal people couldn’t do. A freak like Van Gogh could draw the most amazing sunflower that moved whole world. And what if I did something which is intelligent but you just don’t understand? So, I think it wouldn’t be objective if we did a research like that. You can’t make rules to measure mankind’s intelligence, because it’s just endless. Not to mention the discrimination, the tendentious definition of Intelligence and other negative effect it will cause.
