The Western Children's Aid Fund (China) is a special fund founded as a branch of the China Charities Aid Foundation for Children (CCAFC), aimed at relieving the disadvantaged children the poverty-stricken area in the west of China. Since the Yushu Earthquake, the WCAF volunteers many times inquired the poor families, travelled around with medical treatment for the sick children, transported daily necessity and collected large quantities of information on children and salvation in the stricken area in Yushu and remote place in the west, for the estabilshment of the WCAF.
