With the development of the society,DIY is becoming more and more popular.But first it only meant that one should do its things itself.When a student has difficulty in doing his homework and try asking his parents about that,his parents would say,“Do it yourself.”That means you can't rely on others.But nowadays DIY has a new meaning that one wants to do things by its own.For example,some people would like to make a computer themselves.They buy the components of a computer instead of a ready-made one from a computer market and make them up.They enjoy their work and it usually costs less.
In my opinion,that DIY is popular is because it can reveal one's abilities and skills.You can imagine when a person completes a DIY,how happy he is!What's more,DIY costs less and can help a person save money.So,I like DIY too.
