ANU,the abbreviation of australian national university,a public school founded by australian government located in canberra.it is established on 7 february in the year of 1947.the foundation of the college was due a great effort to the then prime minister Ben Chifley,with the purpose of increasing the accessibility and feasibility of conducting and promoting research in australia.
anu is divided into seven academic colleges.and each college is responsible for the education as well as the research in its own respective field.generally,comparing with many australian local universities and even some oversea colleges,the expectations and requirements for entering anu is relatively higher.as anu is reputed for its researching technology and programs,therefore,it is ranked as one of the top universities in the world.
over the years,many of the anu alumni have not only achieved,but also contributed very much in various realms to the society.its notable alumni includes former PM of australia,kevin rudd,professors mannin clark(historian) and many many more.
anu has formed friendship and developed cooperations with many top colleges in China.peking university can be considered one of them.other Chinese universities like national university of taiwan also form close ties with anu.
as mentioned earlier,anu is currently ranked one of the top 20 universities in the world.like any other top colleges,not only does anu have advanced and hi-tech devices and equipments for the academic purposes,but also comfortable,humanistic living environment for the student to stay.
all in all,in terms of educational level,study environment,conditions,and the development of the researching technology,as well as the achievements and contributions done by successive alumi and the staffs and mentors,anu deserves to be ranked the top university in australia.in fact,no other australian universities can replace or displace the influences and contributions did by the anu.with one of the best educational systems in the world and one of the most powerful teaching staff,i believe that there will be much more great men who are situated before their times going to be graduated from anu.as a student myself,i wish i could have a chance to experience the kind of studying atmosphere in anu in the future,because it would certainly be a great honour for me and also a meaningful experience of my life.
