You are a compliance producer working for the BBC Network.In light of recent issues concerning audience complaints about both BBC and commercial radio broadcast material,Ofcom has asked the radio sector to ensure that programming teams are reminded of matters relating to regulation,ethics and compliance when presenting / producing content.
Please issue producer notes of guidance for a range of shows which can be used to brief your programming teams.Ensure various scenarios and their procedures are outlined (including live and ‘as-live’ programming).
In addition,provide an executive summary explaining the context of today’s rationale for regulation,for your teams.Also ensure matters relating to accountability and escalation are identified.
