Product:What Do You Sell?The term “product” as used in hospitality field can have several meanings.Obviously,a product can be a meal or some other tangible item that s hotel or restaurant provides to guests.A hospitality product can also be an intangible service,such as a food server serving a meal.Product can also refer to a hotel or restaurant’s concept—as in,“A La Quinta motel is an economy product designed specifically to appeal to‘road warriors’(traveling business-persons).” In this case,product refers to all the things that make the experience of staying at a La Quinta what it is—its philosophy,facilities,amenities,level of service,and the tangible products it sells to guests.
