　　Jin Jing a 27-year-old torchbearer( 火炬手 ) is known as a “ smiling angel in a wheelchair ”． Her right leg was cut off at the age of ten after a serious illness ． She became a disabled fencer( 击剑手 )in July 2001 ．

　　On April 7 2008 when Jin was to begin her part of the Beijing Olympic torch relay in Paris along the Seine River at 12 ∶ 30 pm local time several “ Tibet independence ” activists( 藏独分子 )rushed to her ． A man tried to take the torch away from Jin before he was caught by French police ． During the attack Jin protected the torch with her body not to let go of it ．
