这两题为什么用法不同?第一题不是用B吗?那为什么第二题就用了被动?到底这两题目是看那一个主语?第一题the train不是被看的吗?但第二题却是说被看?

这两道题不是都用seen开头的吗?有什么不同呢?
这两个seen都是过去分词在句首作状语,因为它和句子的主语the earth之间是被动关系因此用过去分词.
不同的是在第二句中多了一个用with引导的短语,因此也多了一空.with water covering seventy percent of his surface,在这个短语中covering是现在分词短语,它的逻辑主语不是句子的主语the earth,而是介词with后面的water,它和water之间是主动关系而不是被动关系,因此要用现在分词.
第一空是不带自己的逻辑主语的非谓语动词作状语,因此它的逻辑主语必须是句子的主语,而with所引导的短语是with所引导的独立主格结构,它有自己的逻辑主语,也就是water.因此cover的逻辑主语不是the earth.
