你上面的划分犯了一个很容易犯的错误.
即你把”and computer storage"划分到定语一部分中了.
而事实上,这句话的主语有两部分：
1. The application (of electronic controls made possible by the microprocessor)
2. computer stoage
句子简化后就是：
【The application and computer storage have multiplied the uses of the modern typewriter.】
主语是复数,所以用have multiplied.
computer storage放在了定语的后面,让人误会它也是修饰“the application"的一部分.
这不是你英文不好的问题,而是这个句子本身就比较tricky.
