What's your parents' jobs?
Do you know who they are(vocations) and what's their jobs?
What job do you like best and why?
Do you afraid of going to hospital and meeting doctors?
Who(the students) can act as policeman/fireman/nurse/doctor?
have you ever seen/talked to a policeman/ nurse/ doctor?
making PowerPoint for sure facilitates student learning a lot
Class discussion: what are their jobs? Showing the pictures of the jobs and the images of different vocations, ask students to do the matching part,
and discuss why the jobs are important.
Certainly, Students don't need to express themselves ONLY in English, but what is more important, is to let them think and discover the importance of different vocations or sth. like that. i mean, to help the students attain greater intellectual ability.
