字幕翻译的特点
通俗性
字母是闪现在屏幕上的文字，一现即逝。电影或其他影像节目本身的特点决定了字幕翻译语言的瞬时性。影片里的画面，声音都是按照剧情的发展需要转瞬即逝的。一般的文学作品，如散文，小说等，其语言以书面的形式出现在纸上，读者可以一遍一遍地看，可以字斟句酌。而现场欣赏影视作品则不然，观众没有机会像阅读文学作品的语言那样，一遍看不懂再回过头去看第二遍。影视剧中的语言若是一遍听不懂，只能放弃，若是花时间去琢磨，则会影响到欣赏后面的内容。因此，电影电视节目的这一特点也要求字幕翻译语言必须大众化或通俗化，要让人一看就懂。
