Great stay but expensive!
I book the Junior Suite Room which is huge. Unfortunately I requested for a non-smoking room but by the time I arrive, it was not ready though they did offer me a smoking room (which they tried to cover the smell) but I could still smell nicotine.
Had to wait awhile before the room was ready. The rooms are huge and standard is as expected of a luxurious resort. Added bonus was a great expresso maker which is unique. Really enjoyed this as I am a coffee-lover!
Swimming pool is beautiful but would be good to have a separated children's pool facility.
The buffet breakfast is ok but quite disappointed that the Manager still charged my son who is 4 years old despite him not eating much. I've been to many 4-5 stars establishment in Singapore and overseas and this was the first to charge me. But guess he's just going by the "book"!
Great location with nice but tiny rooms...
Like other reviewers stated, you can't beat the location. The area is always bustling, plenty of restaurants/cafes right at your door, and everything is withing walking distance (steps from Notre Dame). Room was tiny but the bathroom was clean and updated. We also found 2 great restaurants just a few blocks down by the Sorbonne...Le Petit Prince and Le Coupe Chou. Must try! All in all it was a wonderful hotel for the price and we would definitely go back.
Way fun - women should try to get the "group room"
Stayed 2 nights, my first time in a capsule inn. At 4,000JPY a night per person, it's a good deal if it's just 1 or 2 of you.
It was also the only lodgings we had (out of 5 places) that had wi-fi. All our hotels had an internet cable, but nobody else had wi-fi.
Our first night we stayed in the "women's group room". It's 4 capsules for 2-4 women/girls, in a room of it's own. So unlike folks in regular capsules, we were able to bring our big bags into our room and spread out. In that room you get the experience of a capsule hotel without having to sleep in a group. I'd totally recommend this room for anyone (well, any women since men can't reserve it).
The 2nd night we stayed in the regular capsules. There were 28 capsules on our floor (2 high). There was some noise in the night as women came/went. But I was surprised to wake up the next morning and find that 20 of them were full. The capsules insulate sound much better than I expected.
People are correct that being open only 5pm-10am is inconvenient. You can leave bags there, but can't get to them during the day.
