第一题：visit是及物动词,在这里后面的宾语是the modern equipment.去年参观了the modern equipment,而the research center 是宾语所在的地点,指去年是在这个研究中心参观了the modern equipment,所以要用where.参观的是the modern equipment,而不是the research center .实际是：You visited the modern equipment in the research center.
用which的话应该是in which.
第二题：形单影只地位于山边,所以这里很安静.as表述的因果关系.as后面可以倒过来,就是it is isolated on the side of a mountain.答案C用being+被动状态,这个用法强调的是正在被怎么怎么样.而显然这里没有正在的意思.况且这里是it is,一般没有it is being done 的用法.
