7.1 Work where we are regulated by the Law Society of Scotland:
Fees which are not agreed in advance may be independently assessed by the Auditor of Court,This process is known as "taxation".You are entitled to require our file to be taxed if you are not happy with the fee charged .In such a case the fite is passed to the Auditor who will fix what he considers to be a fair and reasonable fee in aIl the circumstances,(including those factors which we have outlined in our Engagement Letter and these Terms of Business}.The Auditor can fix a higher or Lower fee than the fee that we have charged.lf he fixes a lower fee,we wiii pay the cost of taxation,If he fixes a higher fee or confirms the fee as charged,you will be responsible for that fee as welt as for the costs of the taxation.
