A field trip On National Day, I with my father took a bike trip to Tiansheng Bridge Park. It's a small park in the southwest of our town, but it's very famous for a stone bridge－Tiansheng Bridge. It was a bright day. The sun looked lovely and the air smelt fresh and clean. When we stepped into the park, we saw a huge stone bridge－Tiansheng Bridge crossing a river, just like a rainbow flying over the water surface. What an imposing view! We took a boat through the bridge opening. It felt really great, just like passing mini Three Gorges. In Chinese, "Tiansheng" means natural. Then my father told me an amazing story about this bridge. In Ming Dynasty, an emperor named Zhu Yuanzhang organized over twenty thousand peasants to dig a canal--Yanzi River. It was not easy work because there were hard rocks here and there on the hills. People tried their best to make it and left a big stone as a bridge. That is Tiansheng Bridge. The bridge is 34 metres long and 9 metres wide. It is said that this bridge is the only one of its kind in China. I really enjoyed myself on that day. I'm very proud of my hometown, for the beautiful scenery and the wisdom of the hard-working people in the old days.
