  It was many years before my uncle went back to his hometown. He found that the city had changed greatly during his absence. Tall buildings had been set up, and roads were much wider than before. What surprised him most was that not a single person knew him. He asked about several old friends of his, and was told that they had either died or moved away to faraway places. He learned that now most people lived in better houses away from the center of the city. Everything had changed beyond his recognition, but he was glad to see the changes, because these changes indicated development of our country. He looked forward to seeing further changes when he came next time.
